The Regional Office of the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization in Cairo held the Arab workshop on (Legal Framework and Protection Mechanisms in Light of National Legislation and International Agreements for Drafting Electronic Contracts and Their Impact on Facilitating the Conclusion of Agreements for Industrial Institutions), which was held during the period 16-19 February 2025 at the headquarters of the Regional Office in Cairo, for the benefit of the Libyan Iron and Steel Company. The workshop was supervised by Professor Dr. Hisham Al-Shafei, Professor of Public International Law and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIARB). Thanks were extended to the expert for his efforts during the workshop and for preparing the scientific material. He also thanked the Libyan Iron and Steel Company and the participants in the organization’s activities. The participant was given a certificate of appreciation for participating in the closing ceremony. The lecturer was also given a certificate of thanks and appreciation for his efforts during the workshop. The participant thanked the expert and the organization. The workshop covered a number of important topics: the concept of electronic contracts, their definition, the difference between an electronic contract and a traditional contract, their risks, and means of settling disputes.
