Within the framework of international efforts to enhance the efficiency of resource use, reduce carbon emissions and waste, and limit pollution and ecosystem degradation, the importance of the Green Economy Program came, which seeks to achieve integration between the four dimensions of sustainable development, namely the economic, environmental, social and technical dimensions. In this context, certified energy managers are employed in the commercial, governmental and industrial sectors in functional categories, such as energy engineering, building management, facilities management, facilities accounting, energy service performance, energy efficiency consulting, project engineering, and resource efficiency.
Within the framework of the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization’s interest in following up on everything new and related to developing Arab capabilities in the industrial sector, preparations were made to hold this specialized workshop in the field of qualifying and accrediting green energy managers for industrial and mining institutions according to the standards of the World Green Economy Council, based on the request of a number of industrial companies and institutions. The workshop focuses on providing trainees with information and skills that enable them to understand the latest methods used to rationalize energy consumption in companies and institutions.
