The training course on “Production Planning, Control, and Operations Management in Industrial and Mining Institutions” concluded on Thursday, June 26, 2025, in Cairo. Held from June 23-26, 2025, the course was attended by participants from the Libyan Iron and Steel Company in Libya. The training course was moderated by Dr. Eng. Ahmed Hussein, Head of the Training Department at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. The four-day course covered a number of topics related to (production planning and control, production planning (concept – objectives), organizing the production planning function, functions of planning and production control, estimating production volume, measuring work, time elements, steps of work measurement, using statistics in measuring work, planning and monitoring activities and operations – modern methods of improving productivity and reducing costs “using modern methods in management, efficient use of production time, designing and preparing reports to evaluate and monitor performance rates, the importance and impact of applying good management on entities, the importance and impact of applying Six Sigma on entities, optimal control of the elements of time and time as a governing element in improving productivity and reducing costs
