Industrial rules are based on a system of laboratories to verify the quality of different products. International requirements have agreed on the importance and necessity of accrediting these laboratories to ensure the quality of their results.
ISO/IEC 17025 is the basic standard for international accreditation bodies to accredit laboratories and verify their technical efficiency, which contributes to the acceptance of laboratory results between different countries.
ISO/IEC 17025:2017 is the new and third version of the standard. The main amendments in this new version compared to the previous version focus on:

– Flexibility in the requirements of operations, procedures, information required to be documented and the responsibilities of the institution
– New definition of laboratories
Within the framework of the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization’s interest in following up on everything new and related to developing Arab capabilities in the industrial sector, preparations have been made to hold this specialized workshop in the field of (Risk Management According to Laboratory Accreditation Requirements and the New ISO/IEC 17025: 2017) This is based on the request of a number of Arab companies and institutions.
